HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year to everyone!. . . like, maybe three people who even read this! I've been busy getting ready for Christmas, then driving to SC to see my Precious Angels, then back home and they came with me for a visit. Left yesterday, and it is very lonely here with just an old man and a cat! But, I'm going back to SC next week for Skylar's first birthday! Can't believe that little angel is already a year old. She is so beautiful, as are all of my grandchildren and children. That's all for now. Going to try to set this up so I can email my posts! That would be a lot easier than trying to download photos! Getting Started

Well, I guess I've gotten started on the genesis of the apron/card shop. I've made three aprons! Well, I also made a couple of night shirts for Sister Sue, but they're not for sale. . . Hopefully the photos will come out right (I'm not good at making photos with this little camera; ya just never know how they'll turn out!). . . let's see. . . The two together are matching "Halloween" aprons for mother and daughter, the other I thought you'd laugh at because it has bananas and I HATE bananas! ! !

I have three different styles of aprons cut out, and about 10 more to cut out. . . How many do you think I need to start? I can do three in a day without interruptions. I've seen gobs of fabric to use, and I even have some quilt pieces to sew together to make patchwork ones. Is this a good idea? Honestly?

Any more ideas of things we can offer? Since Jifner and Dawnee are going to be in on this, I need your input, too! And what would be good name???? . . .

On another note, I just returned from the funeral for a 26-year-old girl killed in a car crash. Terrible, terrible. Please drive safely! luv, mom/mrt

How proud of these precious angels at their awards banquets! Carlos also got a certificate for playing 3rd base, and Levi got a trophy and certificate for stealing the most bases and batting the most runs home. They both are very proud of their accomplishments, as are their parents and grandparents and great-grandparents. I will be heading back to KY tomorrow with the Big Boys in tow, leaving precious baby angels. . . luv, mom/mrt

A Demonstration

Special Card

Alex came over today lamenting the fact that he didn't have a birthday card for his mother. . . so, we collaborated and created this masterpiece for her. Hope she likes it! We used card stock, photos of the boys and some scrapbook paper and ribbons; tied each card together with the ribbons and added some flowers and beads at the top. Tomorrow we're going to bake her a cake.

Other than that, I have cut out two aprons today. The fabric is covered with little yellow chickens with a bit of lavender background. I will back them with lavender and white checks-- not chicks! Hopefully I can get them sewn tomorrow. One is for a girl at our bank. Our favorite saying is "I'm so mad I could bite the heads off little chickens!" I thought she'd get a kick out of it!
